Dreamforce Is the Largest Software Conference in the World — and September Is Brutal for Visas

Dreamforce 2026 is expected to focus heavily on Agentforce (Salesforce's AI agent platform launched in 2025), Einstein AI across the cloud products, and Data Cloud (previously known as Genie). If you work in any of these areas — which is increasingly most of the Salesforce ecosystem — the sessions are directly applicable.
San Francisco vs Las Vegas: What's Different About the Visa
Unlike AWS re:Invent (Las Vegas), Dreamforce is in San Francisco — which means different flight options from India and a different cost structure.
From a visa perspective, San Francisco doesn't change anything. The evaluation is the same: business purpose, strong ties to India, consistent story.
What does change: there are no direct flights from most Indian cities to San Francisco (SFO). The main hubs are connecting through Dubai, Singapore, Doha, or Heathrow. Book early — Dreamforce week flights are expensive once the conference is announced. Your travel costs will likely be higher than re:Invent.
